Bruce was a force of nature with a joyful, friendly and energetic spirit. He was a voracious reader as books were the only tangible objects that had value to him. He valued and nurtured relationships above all. He was a fearless and adventurous traveler, loved corny jokes, a formidable bridge player and enjoyed cheering on the Demon Deacons regardless of the sport.
He was a founding member of the Raleigh Sports Club, an avid WFU Alumni and member of the Deacon Club. He was also known as his neighborhood’s local librarian for their book box.
Every day is a new opportunity to choose joy, even during times of sorrow. To that end, please join us in a Celebration Of Life event to honor and remember the incredibly full life of Bruce McDaniel.
Bruce was a loving father and grandfather, dear friend and unforgettable man who will be greatly missed. In the spirit of laughter and joy, please dress for a gathering of friends rather than a funeral.
