Linda Johnson James

Linda Johnson James, our beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend.. passed away in her home on March 22nd, 2025, at the age of 69 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with two of her siblings.

Linda is survived by four sisters, two brothers, and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces. She also leaves behind some really close friends, that were just like sisters to her and honestly like family to our entire family for many years.

She was born on August 3rd 1955 in Brooklyn New York.

Linda was a cherished and beloved member of our family and very close to her many friends.

Any community that she resided in, she was known as an outstanding neighbor….she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, and friendship, while always extending a helping hand.

Linda was always ready for a good time, she had great friends, and would embrace any and all that came her way. She loved meeting new people, and entertaining, her door was always open.

Her hobbies and interests that consumed some of her free time….were cooking, gardening, decorating, and again of course entertaining.

Lately her favorite TV programming was all things Martha Stewart, her least favorite was the News.

Linda would not forgive me if I failed to mention, that while cooking she always enjoyed listening to her favorite genre of music Smooth Jazz 🎼

As a family, we are sad to announce, there will not be any additional plans for a formal Celebration of Life, however we hope that this online virtual tribute will provide everyone with a sense of closure.
