Lynda Mattox Rogers

Lynda was loved by many friends and family. A loving soul that could lend an ear, hug to comfort and give advice even if you didn’t ask. Lynda loved her family deeply, even through tragedy her value of family was a strong as Love itself.

Lynda adored her grandchildren and spent every weekend with them by her side. She lived life on her own terms, without fear. She loved the simple things like long conversations on the deck, beach cookouts, shopping and her Wells Fargo family.

Lynda will be missed by many, she has returned to her husband’s side, hand and hand making footprints in the sand.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents James and Lorraine Mattox, her husband Tommy Rogers and her son Martin Poythress.

She is survived by her son James Earl “Peanut” Rogers, his wife Addy Rogers both of Raleigh. Her grandchildren Michael Poythress, Piper Rogers, Reed Rogers and Isley Rogers. And her Brother Doug Mattox of Lucama, NC

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park. Burial will follow the memorial service. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
