Ralph Robinson Humrickhouse Jr.

Ralph was born on August 12, 1927 in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Ralph R. Humrickhouse and Frances Henderson Humrickhouse. After high school, he served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII and then in the Coast Guard Reserves and was honorably discharged from both. He earned a B.B.A. in Business from the University of Texas (Austin). Ralph began his successful business career in the fluid power industry when he joined the Schrader Air Controls Division of Scovill Mfg. Co. He rose to the rank of Vice President of Schrader Bellows International and was instrumental in the merger of Schrader Bellows with Parker Hannifin Corp. He was chairman of the Marketing Board and Public Affairs Committee of the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA).

Ralph and his family attended White Memorial Presbyterian Church and were members of North Ridge Country Club.

Ralph is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Annie Kidd Siler Humrickhouse, his son, Scott R. Humrickhouse (Stephani), and his grandson, John W. Humrickhouse (Ashley). He was also much loved by his two step-children, Kenneth Siler (Kathleen) and Denise Murdock, six step-grandchildren and five step-great grandsons.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was predeceased by his sister, Ann Humrickhouse and his son, Hal A. Humrickhouse.

A funeral service was held on Friday, December 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. Interment followed in Raleigh Memorial Park.
