

Becky was born January 10, 1919 to Henry Ward Doub and Marjorie Jackson Doub in Aberdeen NC, where she graduated from high school in 1936. She graduated from Greensboro College in 1940, which was founded by her Great Great Uncle, Peter Doub. She taught high school for two years before going to work for the Air Force Training Command in Southern Pines and later for Air Force Intelligence in Washington, DC during World War II. In 1999 Becky was honored as a Distinguished Greensboro College Alumni.
She has been a devoted member of Hayes Barton Methodist Church for many years and did volunteer work as a docent at the NC Art Museum, helped at Radio Reading Service and delivered for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Walter A. Wall. She is also survived by her daughter, Delinda Wall Leafdale and son-in-law Keith L. Leafdale, of Oklahoma City, OK; her son Stephen Doub Wall and daughter-in-law Kathleen Ann Borger of Altadena CA; and a beloved granddaughter Elise Kathleen Wall.
The family expresses its gratitude to the staff at The Oaks of Mayview and the staff of Whitaker Glen Retirement Home for their loving and tender care during Becky’s declining health, as well as to Dr. Dunlap and the staff of Hospice of Wake County.
