Rita was a graduate of NCSU, loved to walk the beach and to ballroom dance. She spent most of her life in the medical/pharmaceutical fields retiring from GlaxoSmithKline in 1995. Her joy in life was always found in her children and grandson and in helping others. She was a lifelong Methodist and drew great strength from her faith in God.
She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Louis Criswell and lovingly remembered by her sons, Cory Criswell, of Austin TX, and Mitchell Drake Criswell and his wife, Linda, of West End NC and by her daughter, Christina Dresp and her husband, Edward, of Cary NC. She will also be deeply missed by her grandson, Donald Stone, of Wilmington NC.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 6, at 1:00 pm, Chapel of Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Association or to the Hospice of Wake County, in memory of Rita.
