

Sarah was born on January 21, 1973 in Kampala Uganda to Sulaiman Muwanga and Jalia Muwanga.
She graduated from Nabisunsa Girls School and thereafter furthered her education in the United States where she graduated with her Bachelors in Accounting from Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina. She then went on to pursue post graduate studies where she obtained her Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, from Georgia Southern University.
Sarah was known for her dedication and passion for her career where she excelled and held supervisory and management positions, here in the United States, Uganda and also in the foreign service where she worked for USAID in El-Salvador, Nigeria, Ghana and Sudan. She inspired and made a significant impact on all her coworkers and clients.
Sarah was very genuine, had a giving spirit and wanted everyone around her to succeed in life. She was very vibrant, sociable, loved family gatherings and loved to dance to some Afro beats. Naka, as she is known by immediate family, will be missed dearly.
The family would like to thank the North Carolina Uganda family and Community for the care, compassion and support they showed Sarah up to her final day of rest.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Moses Masagazi, daughter, Ridha Masagazi, son, Rashad Masagazi. She leaves behind her sisters, Ida Muwanga and Nuru Muwanga, her brothers, Hood Muwanga, Hussein Sebina and Ismail Katumba, and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 2:00pm at Mitchell Funeral home, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00pm. The burial will follow the services at Raleigh Memorial Park.
