Shanna (Shane) Michelle Bullock

Shanna (Shane) Michelle Bullock, 28, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Garner, NC. She was born on September 19, 1987 in Raleigh, NC. Her cremated remains were laid to rest at Raleigh Memorial Park.

Shanna is lovingly remembered by her family and numerous friends. In tribute to Shanna these words were penned:

“Shanna’s Spirit”

Spirit.. “The nonphysical part of a person that is the seat of emotion and character, the soul”.

Shanna certainly had spirit, a warm and gifted one at that.

There were many emotions that encompassed Shanna during her life. She conveyed them with an infectious laugh that was sincere and cheerful when excitement was around her.

She was a very bright person who was knowledgeable about many current events and didn’t mind taking a stance on certain uncomfortable topics. She was strong in her convictions. She always enjoyed a good book or movie and had a tremendous street sense. As we all know, she toured the country from the forests of North Carolina to the shores of Florida all across the land to California. She met many personalities and talked of new friends and acquaintances on numerous occasions. She has many friends.

Shanna was a believer in God and showed her faith through letters that she sent to her mother and brother Harrison when reflection was her only escape. She spoke of the wonderful people who got her back on track when she lost the vision of His grace. She shared her happiness when speaking of the changes he was making in her life.

As we all are fortunate to walk with our God, we cannot shy away from the many temptations that confront our daily lives. We can only hope that someone else’s life that Shanna has touched during this difficult time, can leave a lasting impression for where we acknowledge our mistakes and rely on the amazing Grace of God to hold our hand. For some, Shanna’s story will be their strength.

Today, we are asked many questions that cannot be answered, but the one thing we need not dwell on is that the Lord decided it was best for Shanna to be in his presence, then in ours. As we can only imagine, there are arms wide open greeting her in heaven from those she has missed for quite some time. I believe there is a lot of catching up to do, in a happier setting.

Shanna is leaving this world through the cleansing of her physical body through cremation. Into this world she came as dust, she will be leaving this world the same way. Clean of all obstacles that challenged her daily, the markings that were her way of expression and the unknown of what tomorrow will bring. For today, we know the new chapter of her life.. It’s all GOOD !
