Sharon "Binga" Jones Sheets

She was employed by Corning Glass for 35 years. After retirement, she spent many years working at St. Marks UMC.

Sharon was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an active member and volunteer at church prior to her illness. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her Grandson Kody. She was a wonderful Grandmother and never missed watching Kody play sports. Her favorite sport to watch was soccer.

She enjoyed cooking and was always happy to welcome people to her table.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter and grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her only sister, Deborah Jones Weese.

Sharon is survived by her only daughter, Stephanie Sheets Haglund (Kraig) of Raleigh; only grandson, Kody Eric Haglund of Charlotte; and her brother-in-law, David Weese.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Stephen Sheets (Anita), Kimberly Jenks (Cliff), Vicky Wine, Jessica Reed (Billy) and Brandon Weese all of West Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. The family receive friends immediately following the service in Anderson Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 4801 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609.
