Shauna Lynn O'Brien

Shauna is survived by her mother, Colleen O’Brien; her sister, Megan O’Brien; her brothers, Kyle O’Brien and Kevin O’Brien; her partner, Montel Adams; her father, Patrick O'Brien; and her cat, Miss Boots of 22 years.

From early childhood, Shauna was naturally a loving caregiver of children and animals. Shauna was deeply involved in the lives of her godchildren and Montel’s two sons. Shauna was relentlessly loyal and dedicated to her family and friends.

She stepped into the role of mother, sister, or auntie for many. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Shauna’s caregiving nature naturally lent itself to following in her mother’s footsteps to pursue a career as a nurse. She spent the last ten years working in healthcare. Shauna attended WVU and was a fierce advocate for women and became a WVU Peer Advocate helping to develop the It’s On Us program.

Shauna’s memory will continue to live on through those she loved.

Services in North Carolina will be private and a public memorial mass and celebration of Shauna' s life will be held at a future date in Northern, NJ.
