Born on June 7, 1946, in Clare, Michigan, Steve was a graduate of Central Michigan University and spent his career as a business and systems analyst with companies including IBM, MCI/Verizon, and JP Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna Vance; his children, Jeff Vance and Michelle Swan; his grandchildren, Jessica and Liam Vance, and Madison, Cooper, and Emily Swan; and his brother, Mike Vance.
A memorial service will be held on January 12 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida, followed by interment at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transitions Lifecare Hospice in Raleigh (transitionslifecare.org) in his honor.
