

Steve proudly served in the US Army during WWII with Battery C 84th Field Artillery Battalion 9th Division, and was the recipient of the Purple Heart, European Theater of Operations Ribbon with 6 Stars, Presidential Unit Citation, American Theater of Operations Ribbon, Victory Ribbon and the American Defense Medal. He retired from the federal government after a career as a Budget Analyst for the US Navy fleets. To Steve, family was such a big part of his life, and he will be greatly missed.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Barbara Yuhasz Blue; his niece, Donna Chinchar Kotsatos (Pete) and Karen Yuhasz Hahn (Fred); grandchildren, Jaclyn Behun Charland (Dave), Steven Behun (Larisse) and Lauren Blue; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Connor Charland, and Ameilya, Sadie and Silas Behun and Lily Briscoe. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel Roskevitch Yuhasz; daughter, Linda Yuhasz Behun; and siblings, Zolton Yuhasz, Geza Yuhasz, and Helen Yuhasz Chinchar.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00am at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC with interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 23 from 6:00-8:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home.
