Beloved father of Andrew and Nicholas Finckel; brother of Charlie Finckel, Steve Finckel, Bill Finckel, Kevin Finckel and Chris Finckel.
Toby moved to Raleigh, NC in 2003 where he started his own company, BCI Network Services, Inc. As President and CEO of BCI, he spent most of his time at UNC hospitals installing networking systems for the various departments throughout the UNC hospitals. Toby will be remembered for his gregarious personality, never meeting a stranger, and his love for good food partnered with a glass of wine. Toby loved his boys fiercely and one of his favorite pastimes was watching Andrew and Nicholas on the golf course. Along with spending time with his boys, Toby enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with friends. Toby began his battle with colon cancer in October 2020 and fought valiantly through ongoing chemo treatments, never once complaining, and graciously in minimal pain. Toby's fun-loving spirit and charismatic personality will be deeply missed.

Toby, we love you endlessly. We are forever grateful for the wonderful memories we will hold close to our hearts always. Like you, we will embrace life and fight hard through the challenging times.
