She is survived by her son Lamar Green and wife Ruth Ann, her daughter Valarie Green Hill; 2 brothers, Melvin & Everett Newton & their wives Nancy & Millie; 1 sister, Eunice and husband Clyde Ferrell; 1 sister in law, Doris Newton; her grandson Jason Green and wife Chandra, granddaughters, Nikki Williams & husband Warren, and Jaymee Hill Gaskins & husband Joseph; plus four great-grandchildren, Bennett, Ethan, Reagan and Parker.
Virginia is pre-deceased by her husband T.G. Green Jr., 5 brothers, JD, Wilbur, Alvin, Cleo and Robert: 2 sisters, Alice and Barbara Jean.
Flowers are welcome or a memorial donation can be made to Hospice of Wake County. Funeral services will be held on February 3, at 1 PM with a visitation one hour prior at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. Burial will take place at Raleigh Memorial Park.
