Stan was born September 10, 1939 at the old Rex Hospital in Raleigh to John William Denning and Vada Holland Denning. Stan is preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Denning, his sister Glendora Woodard, and his daughter Dr. Pamela Denning. Left to mourn his passing are his daughters Lisa Carol Denning and Michelle Layton Denning, grandchildren; Melissa Denning Sevigny (John Schmerling), Holley Bridges Monroe (Kevin), Bryan William Bridges, Ashley Casson Cobb (Jeff), Phillip Michael Casson, and Nicholas Ryan Casson, great-grandsons; Bryson William Bridges and Brenner Reade Denning Sevigny. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Stan had a passion for animals, especially cats, that was evident throughout his life. He always had a soft spot for his “babies” treating each and every one of them like the valuable family member they were to him.
A graduate of Needham Broughton High School, Stan was a entrepreneur by trade. He was a salesman for many years and later owned his own handyman/maintenance business.
Stan was truly a creative soul who found joy and expression through the arts of photography and painting. He had a remarkable talent for capturing the beauty of the world through the lens of a camera and bringing it to life on canvas. His artistic creations not only showcased his technical skill but also revealed his ability to see the work in a way that was both captivating and inspiring.
