Abby R Stoerkel

Abby was born in Ravenna, Ohio on November 3, 1935, to parents Eldrid “Bus” and Ortha (Ott) Willyard. Abby had worked at Kerchers shoes and retired after many years of service at the Record-Courier classified advertising department. Abby loved to travel with her late husband Joe and go out to dinner with her niece at different restaurants she had found.

She had enjoyed her time over the years with the Junior Thursday Literary Club and was an avid Bridge player, participating in two different weekly bridge clubs. In her later years she looked forward to attending the breakfast club with her friends, doing jig saw puzzles and playing rummy.

Abby is survived by her niece Kim (Steve) Hershfeldt, great-nephew Brad (Nikki) Hershfeldt and their daughter “Gigi”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Stoerkel and her daughter Chris Canon.

Per Abby’s wishes, cremation is being honored and no services are scheduled at this time.

Abby’s family would like to thank everyone at the Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ravenna for their gracious and compassionate care.
