Carley Grace Trocheck was freed from the confines of her disease, Sanfilippo Syndrome, on January 28, 2017. Our beautiful daughter was born to David Trocheck and Barb McFarlan Trocheck on March 12, 1994.
She was over the moon to become a big sister! She loved her little brother so much she couldn’t be very far from him -EVER. Family pictures show her hugging, touching, kissing, or just sitting close to Max at all times. She always provided all her friends and family with lots of love, laughs and happiness with her outgoing style and goofy giggles.
Carley was a special little lady who inspired love in all she met. Everyone involved in her care, be it doctors, nurses, therapists or teachers, marveled at her strength, perseverance, and sweet and loving nature. Carley attended Happy Day School most of her life. The care and compassion she received there was unmatchable. There are too many people, past and present, to mention who made such an impact on her, but you all know who you are. Thank you! She had a fabulous team of doctors and therapists who made her journey as peaceful as possible. Special thanks go out to Dr. Sarah Adams, Dr. Seth Silberman, Dr. Susan Klein, the Palliative Care Team at Akron Children’s Hospital and the Hospice of Western Reserve nurses Ashley, Sam, & Lucilla.
Carley is survived by her parents, David of Willowick, Barb and brother Max of Ravenna. Special aunt and uncle Judy & Rodney Mullins of Ravenna, special aunt Vickie McFarlan of Ravenna, uncles and aunts Don (Donna), McFarlan, Ken McFarlan (Catherine), Ann (Rick) Jenkins, and many beloved cousins. Others mourning her passing are her nurses Sylvia Prince Malone, Julie Sadar, loving music therapist Brooke Baker & the awesome PT Mandy Zuchowski.
She joins in spirit Grandparents Bill and Doris McFarlan.
Carley was indeed a unique individual and her life celebrated. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Carley’s memory to any or all of the following: The Children’s Medical Research Foundation, Inc. P.O.
