On this anniversary of our loss of your presence in our lives I remember lots of memories of you throughout your life. They bring a smile to my face but a sadness to my heart. I think of your loving family as they face the reality of it all again and continue on without you. Five years today.   Some days it seems like yesterday, other times, forever.  I miss you so much, especially when I'm alone, but even more so when I'm with others, as I feel as though you should be there. 
Last weekend was a prime example.  First was Saturday, with your cousin Brian's daughter's graduation party and Sunday at Josey's bridal shower.  You were on my mind both days and I hope you knew. And just so you know, Josey has found herself a great guy and I'm sure you'd like him and would be proud of them both.

To all of the loved ones of Chris I know today is a hard day to get through and I know it brings so many memories and thoughts to mind. It doesn't seem possible that he is really gone - still - and always! Chris I seen the shooting star Sat, I thought why , I should of been more positive but I was a recovering drunk it broke my heart because I didn’t want to go back there, but when you cried I should of been there I was to a point but u didn’t wants give it up. Thinking today - as I often do -about Chris and how much he is missed by all. He was a joy in everyone's life he touched. My thoughts are with Ray and Jackie, Josey, Richard, Carrie and Liam and many, many more who Chris meant something to. Chris we all love you.  Missed and remembered with love.

 Chris, it has been a very long month, You well never be forgotten.  Your in my thoughts daily.

Chris , I want you to know how many hearts you have touched. I still can't believe your gone.  I will meet up with you again. There  is so much to say I dream of you. I blame myself  for not making you go to the dr, I write to you everyday and talk to you I love you.

You  Will be truly missed Chris. You were one hell of a teacher that has taught me so much in my HVAC creer that I will always remember. You  were my go to when I needed help with the problem. I am deeply  saddened that you  are gone but you  Will never be forgotten. i know your always watching over all of us and one day we meet again. 

This saddens me deeply.  In the years ive known Chris he was always kind, caring, and supportive. He was great to my boys and to me. And he always loved firing up the grill. He could make a hell of a steak. Chris always enjoyed outdoor activities. N I know he's up there hunting n fishing n loving everyday. 

Mr and Mrs Wheeler, I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was a great student, a tremendous athlete, but an even better person. He was unfailingly kind to me when I was a kid and never acted like he was doing me a favor. He helped me out a few times when I was lost and confused and needed guidance. I’ve never forgotten that. I always enjoyed the times I would see him working at the high school when I first came back to SE. He always carried himself with such class and I will always admire that. Again, I’m so sorry.

Sorry about your loss.  Knew Chris since school.  Stopped every summer to get vegetables from me at my stand and always was friendly and wanted to know how our family was doing. He will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the entire Wheeler family.  I spent a lot of time around Chris and Rich growing up and am heartbroken for your loss.  Praying for his peace in the next life and for your comfort in this difficult time.  

We may have been busy over the past few years with our busy family lives and not been in touch as much as the first 30 years of our friendship. But if I look back at those years those were some of the best memories I have. I truly believe if I had not met you as a friend I would not be where I’m at today in my life. All the stupid and fun stuff we did. Cook outs, fishing, barn party’s , derby cars , roommates, staying up in your room watching Friday night videos drinking a king case that we would have Rich get for us or the boat ramp by the red caboose. These are just a few memories no way would there be enough paper to write them all. I will miss you forever friend you were my older brother that always had my back. Thank you and the wheeler family for always treating me like I was a part of the family love you man 

My brother's youngest son, my sis-in-law's baby boy, your brother's partner in crime and life long best friend always, father to your daughters, nephew to me and other aunts and uncles, grandson, cousin to many,  and the list goes on, friend, coach, co-worker, etc... My earliest memories are of a tow-head, blue-eyed mischievous boy with a smile that melted your heart. That smile lasted through his whole life. When ever Chris greeted you, his face lit up and you got his big smile, no matter what else may have been going on. Chris always had that mischievous, quick humor and desire to make everyone smile. But his most signature trait was his big, tender heart and his compassion for trying to help others. Our hearts are broken, the loss is great,  he leaves us his legacy of his love and compassion,  and so many memories - everyone whose life was touched by him have their own. Chris leaves us with his example of caring and making others in his life important. Chris, I never told you enough how much I loved you and respected you. I wish I had spent more time with you, but we all had lives to take care of. You leave us with an empty void and you will missed so very much! There is nothing that can be said  or done to lessen the pain of losing you but  our family  stands by in support and love of each other.  The loss is greater for your daughters, parents and brother and we grieve with them.

I remember Chris as a friendly, well liked young man. I didn’t see much of him but every time  I did he had a big smile and warm hello. My heartfelt condolences to Josie and all his family. Godspeed Chris. You were a joy to know.

My fondest memories of you are when we played basketball on Saturdays and softball on Sundays. Nobody wanted to drive to the hoop because they knew it was not going to be an easy shot with you in the lane. You were always so kind and really made me feel accepted. I Thank You for that my friend. Thank You for being so kind when i was younger. RIP my friend!

Chris was one of those special people that you just wanted to be around.  Though time had changed the direction of our lives, Chris was one of my favorites as we “grew up” at The K Co and were two of the many born in 1965 turning 30, 40 and 50 all together, having children at the same time and just experiencing the fun that life offered.  KCo is a great company because of people like Chris that loved his customers and loved to share his knowledge with the younger techs.   He will be sorely missed personally and professionally.  God bless his family and give them strength through this difficult time.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carlyle and Malinda Wheeler and Frank and Rosella Kubenik, as well as his beloved niece Heather Marie Gang.

Chris is survived by his parents Ray and Jackie Wheeler, as well as his only brother Richard “Rich” Wheeler. He is also survived by his loving daughters Carie Lynn Wheeler and Josephine “Josey” Rae Wheeler, and his adored grandson Liam Tran, along with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
