

He was born June 17, 1919, in Ravenswood, West Virginia, a son of the late David Addison and Martha Ann (Baker) Wyers. Clyde was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII. He was a member of the Ravenna Freewill Baptist Church and retired as a precision tool grinder with Morris Controls in Hudson on July 1, 1983. Clyde enjoyed playing softball, horseshoes, and dominos, always playing to win. He was a natural born storyteller and loved his garden.
He is survived by his loving family, including his children: Bill (Padge) Wyers of Las Vegas, NV, Nancy (Ken) Bergman of Homer, AK, Joyce (John) Angle of Ravenna, Lori (Michael) Johnstone of Portland, OR, daughter-in-law: Debbie Wyers of Shalersville; as well as his 19 grandchildren, all of his great-grandchildren, and his great-great-grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Anna (Rhodes) Wyers, his son David Wyers Jr., his sisters: Bertha Ann Wyers, Lily Bell Wyers, Francis Mae Wyers, Edythe Almira Wyers, Nancy Sylonia Wyers, and his brothers: Albert Leslie Wyers, Fred Clifton Wyers, Audra Edward Wyers and Marion Carroll Wyers.
Friends will be received Tuesday, October 23, 2012, from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral service officiated by Reverend Jack Taylor at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park with military honors provided by the US Navy and VFW Post 1055 Honor Guard.
