She was born January 5, 1940, in Vienna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Delores M. (nee Bellestrom) Vaughn. Delores was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She worked at Oak Rubber until its closing, and then retired from Step 2. Dee was an avid reader, and always enjoyed scrapbooking, camping, crocheting, and family gatherings.
She is survived by her son Robert Blank of Paris; daughters: Deanna (Jim) Hartman of Paris and Shellie (Missy) Hamrick of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren: Isabella and Sophia Hartman, and Owen Hamrick; brother: Mark Vaughn of Rootstown; sister: Roberta (Ken) Ricks of Rootstown, and their children Todd and Jodie Ricks.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonal Hamrick, brother Robert Vaughn, and sister Shirley Price.
Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received Monday, October 24, 2011, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, OH 44266.
