

Dodie was born in Ravenna, Ohio on November 6, 1931 to parents Howard E. and Bessie Lucille (Underwood) Hunt. She was a lifelong resident of Ravenna and a graduate of Ravenna High School and Bohecker’s Business College of Ravenna. She served as the secretary to the pharmacy at Robinson Memorial until her retirement. Many will remember Dodie waitressing at Cherry’s Steak House and the Elite Restaurant for thirty years. In addition to her family, Dodie loved poetry, reading, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, playing Scrabble and traveling. She particularly enjoyed gathering with her entire family for a week at O’Day Lake, WI every summer.
Dodie is survived by her children: Wendy (Don) Hoeft of Greenleaf, WI, Michael Rock of San Diego, CA, and Tish (Tom) Brett of Freedom OH. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Misha Grenier, Sarah Cassidy, Rebeccah Novak, Michael Brett, Leah Brett, Luke Brett, and great-grandchildren: Ezekiel Pierce, Anayela Hesse, Dante Hesse, Lilly Cassidy, and Ava Cassidy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Lucille, brother Bobby Hunt, sister Betty (Hunt) Rolph and her former husband, Bob Rock.

Family will receive friends on Saturday January 30, 2016 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 170 N. Freedom St., Ravenna, from 12:30pm until the 1:00pm memorial service officiated by Reverend Daniel Caruso.
