PALMYRA- Eleanor Ray Wolner, age 82, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Avenue at Aurora after a long battle with illness.
Eleanor was born in Everetteville, West Virginia on September 21, 1941 to the late William and Goldie Elizabeth (Hanlon) Paugh.
Eleanor worked for Southeast Schools as a Cafeteria Cook for over 25 years. She enjoyed time with her family, traveling, golfing, and bowling.
Besides her parents, Eleanor is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Pete Fisher.
Eleanor is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael Wolner; her sons, Michael (Marcy) Wolner, Jr. and Mitchell (Rachel) Wolner; two grandsons, Justin (Nicole) Wolner and Matthew Wolner, and two great-granddaughters. Eleanor also leaves her sister Dottie (Clifford) Porter and her brother Clifford Paugh.
The funeral service will be 11AM Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Chapel in Palmyra West Cemetery with Pastor J. Thomas Holbrook officiant.
