She was born February 4, 1953, in Ravenna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Phrania Ann (Beardsley) Fields. Betsey volunteered at Alpha Enterprise. She was a member of the Freedom Congregational Church and the secretary/treasurer of the Dean family reunion. Betsey was a caring and generous person with a heart of gold who loved her family.
She is survived by her twin brother Richard (Sharon) Fields of Tucson, AZ, and her sister Nancy S. (Harry) Carpenter of Ravenna, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David Fields.
Cremation has taken place and friends will be received an hour prior to the 4:00 PM memorial service on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom Township.
