He was born July 2, 1925 in Markleysburg, PA to Ralph and Florence (Glisan) Dennis. Everett grew up in the Brownsville/Uniontown area of PA, where he met and married his beloved wife of 46 years, the late Betty Jean (nee Polando). He built a home for his family in Hudson, Ohio where he worked hard to support them throughout his lifetime, and was always willing to help those in need in any way he could. He was a crane operator at the Walton Hills Ford Stamping plant for more than 40 years before he retired in 1998. Everett was artistic, a creative thinker and had a special affinity for animals. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, gallivanting, collecting things, fixing things, and working with his John Deere tractor. He was known for his generosity of spirit, loving kindness and fine sense of humor. Everett was never a quitter - never complaining, and living each day with an optimistic, joyful attitude, despite life’s hardships. Always ready with a laugh, wink, smile, kindness and an encouraging word, to know him was to love him.
Loving father of Everett (Jeffrey) Dennis, Jr. of Rootstown, Terry (Theresa) Dennis of Albuquerque, NM, Judith Polando of Peninsula, and Jocelyn (Tom) Milton of Ravenna. Adored grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 6. Nothing was more important to him than his family.
He is also survived by his siblings: Guy (Dona) Dennis, Irene (Bernard) Schene, and Wade (Sharon) Dennis, and is preceded in death by brother Lee Dennis.
