Jacob was a kind man who never met a stranger and who always had a warm smile and a hug ready for everyone. He lived a life of simple tastes and enjoyed spending his time with the people he loved.
In the past, Jacob was an avid participant in Special Olympics and church. He was an active member of the bocce team, and he loved bowling. He spent a lot of time in his final days cheering for the Cartwrights, the Lone Ranger and Tonto, Marshal Matt Dillon, and Lucas McCain to catch the bad guys, and they always did - with Jake’s help.
Jacob will be missed terribly by his Sister-in-Law, Susan and his niece Shelley, his best friend Jonathan, as well as his many friends and caregivers at Leeda Northeast and Affinity Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, Jacob’s friends and family ask that you make donations to the Portage County Special Olympics in his name.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 10am until the funeral service, officiated by Pastor Joe Ellis, at 11am. Interment will follow at Hartzell Cemetery in Deerfield.
