James Floyd Strader

He was born May 29, 1928, in Orlando, West Virginia, to parents Linzy Earl and Mae Elizabeth (Posey) Strader. Jim proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Jim was a hardworking man. He was a truck mechanic for many years, and spent his “free” time working on the family farm.

Jim is survived by his children: Donald (Kathy Jo) Strader, David Strader, and Nancy (John) Cundiff, as well as his seven beloved grandchildren, ten wonderful great-grandchildren, and his great-great-granddaughter. Jim also leaves behind his siblings: Clifford Strader, Dee Strader, Junior Lee Strader, Mina Luzader, Shirley Williams, and Ivy Gibson.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Shirley Strader, his son Scott Strader, and his siblings: Matthew, Richard, John, and Glenna Lipps.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:30 AM with funeral services officiated by Pastor John Burton at 11:30 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow with military honors at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
