Two days ago I was on set shooting a movie and received a call from my cousin Mary Ann, to inform me that both my Uncle Joe and Aunt Marie had passed.  Though several months apart in death, their passings devastated me.  I loved them both so dearly.  He was my ONLY Uncle as far as I was concerned, and a long distance dad to boot, since my own dad, Joe's loving brother, had passed when I was a teenager.  Uncle Joe, like Aunt Marie, was a long distance parent for me.  Unfortunately, being 3,000 miles away prevented us from seeing each other more often, but they were both in my heart always.  I cannot express enough how much this tender, honest, hard working, loving and generous man was loved by all who knew him.  He was an inspiration to everyone.  He is also the only guy who ever talked me into getting on a motorcycle.  And the only one to encourage me, with my NJ upbringing, to at least try eating grits just once.  And for him, I did.  Just once.  I am going to miss him and Aunt Marie so very much.  God bless you Uncle Joe.  Give Aunt Marie, Butch, and Dad and mom, a big hug for me. I can remember the last visit and talk he had with me, and the stories, they I hold very dear. I'm so sorry to hear of your father's death.  I spoke with Evelyn and she had said he was not doing well.  Your mom and dad were always so kind to us when we visited their home. I will always have fond memories of them and their kind hearts.
