He was born April 28, 1963, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents William D. and Goldie M. (Hench) Modico. Joseph was a Christian and a talented artist. He enjoyed drawing ships and studying anthropology and astronomy. Joseph also loved all animals.
He is survived by his dear mother Goldie Modico, his siblings: Lex Modico of Diamond, Bonnie (Ronald) McElhiney of Shalersville, Brenda (Mark) Dericco of Brookfield, his nieces: Angela McElhiney and Alicia McLean, his nephew: Vinny McElhiney, his great-nieces: Arya and Neveah Berringer, and his great-nephew Aiden Neal.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father William B. Modico.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 6:00 pm at Turning Point Baptist Church, 60 Wahl St. Limaville, Ohio 44601 with Pastor Ron Lanham officiating. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
