Laura "Lori" J Gregory

She was born January 28, 1966, in Akron, Ohio, to parents W. Dale and Delora “Dee” (Shafer) Miller. Lori graduated from Waterloo High School and later from Aultman College of Nursing. She earned her master’s degree from Southern NH University.

Lori’s motto in life was “Others First.” She lived by that creed daily as nurse, wife, mother, and daughter. Lori was the director of nursing at Green Meadows and the Avenue in Cleveland. She later worked for the Hartford Company.

Her hobbies included painting, music, and traveling. She loved the beach and would travel to beaches throughout the South. Lori was a social butterfly who made everyone feel warm and welcome. Her home was open to everyone who wanted a home-cooked meal or a safe place to stay. Her home was filled with laughter and music that brought everyone together.

Lori is survived by her son Michael (Sasha) Gregory, her siblings: David (Denise) Miller, Debra Adams, Christina Stollar, and James Miller, as well as her nieces and nephews: Jena (Benjamin) Stasik, Andy Miller, Sara Adams, Nicholas (Keara) Miller, Dale (Maddie) Miller, Amanda Tishma, Dakoda Miller, Drake Miller, Delaney Miller, her great-nieces and nephews including: Donald Beckett, Paxton Stasik, and Blakely Miller, as well as her best friends Mary Kay King, Sherri McGlothlin, Laura Hutchinson, and Pam Hickinbotham.

She was a mother figure to many throughout her life, especially to David Favorito, who viewed her as a mother.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George Gregory.

Her wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends and family will be received Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. A time of fellowship will follow the service.
