Lavada was a crossing guard for many years. She loved doing crafts, crossword puzzles and watching baseball games. She loved her family and they were her greatest joy.
Survivors include her daughters: Brenda (Ron) Miller of Ravenna and Diana (Chad) Stover of Rittman, Son: David Yeary of South Carolina. Seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Brothers: Charles (Sharon) Yeary of Ravenna and Eugene (Linda) Yeary of Kent and sister: Betty (Jack) Violette of N. Prince George, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence, sisters: Elsie Stevens and Wanda Wingrove, brothers: Junior, James E., Robert D., Cecil Yeary and Robert Yeary.
Friends will be received Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 noon funeral service at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Oh. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
