

She was born November 17, 1929, in Akron, Ohio, to parents James Levi and Jennie Elizabeth (Herbert) Warner. Lela graduated from Rootstown High School in 1947.
She enjoyed cooking, working in her flower beds, mowing her lawn, feeding the birds, and working crossword puzzles. She was an active member of the Rootstown United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending and volunteering. Lela’s family and friends always came first, and was always willing to listen to her friend’s thoughts and concerns. Her love for her twin boys was unprecedented along with the love for her two dachshund girls, Ginger and Gretl.
Lela was married to Gus Caporaletti on April 21, 1951. He passed away on August 18, 1992. She was also preceded by her parents. She is survived by her sons: Ronnie (Joyce Carpenter) Caporaletti and Donnie (Nancy) Caporaletti, her sisters: Jane (Warner) Hughes and Gertrude (Harry) Wray, and her brother Charles Warner, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Per Lela’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown. A memorial service will be celebrated by Pastor Jared Williams on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 2:00 PM at the Rootstown United Methodist Church, 4065 State Route 44, Rootstown, OH 44272.
