Mauricette "Frenchi" Lavers

Mauricette Simone Lavers ("Frenchi") age 83 passed away on Nov 20. She was born in France in 1928 and lived in Orleans before moving to the United States. She lived in Boston, New York City, prior to becoming a Ravenna resident in1978. She was a resident of Longmeadow Care Center for the past 6 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred and son Laurens, she is survived by her son Jean-Paul Brusseau, sister Yvette both of France and step daughters Irene and Barbara of Ohio. She leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, 3 nephews, 5 great nephews, and 1 great great niece in France plus 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren in the United States.

Mauricette enjoyed family gatherings, receiving mail from family, gardening, dancing and traveling with the senior group in Ravenna. She was a very warm and friendly person.

Friends will be received Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., where funeral services will be officiated by Reverend John-Michael Lavelle on Friday at 11:00 AM. Ravenna. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
