She was born June 18, 1957, in Ravenna, a daughter of James L. and Donia (Knapp) Murray. Mikelann graduated from Ravenna High School in 1975 and later graduated from Bohecker’s College and Baker’s Community College. Family was the focus of her life. Mikelann enjoyed family gatherings, talking politics, and was so proud of her daughter and her family.
She is survived by her husband Steven W. Kerns, daughter Nicole Leasure of West Palm Beach, FL, mother Donia Murray of Olathe, KS, sisters Regina Wilson of Olathe and Jeanette (Bob) Frantz of Glendale, AZ; as well as several loving nieces and nephews. Mikelann was preceded in death by her father James Murray.
Friends will be received Monday, October 3, 2011, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, OH 44266.
