

He was born May 24, 1917, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Giovanni and Rosa (Bianca) Bruno. Myron was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and worked for the US Post Office in Ravenna for 35 years. Mr. Bruno was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in WWII. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 331, Varsity K and the KSU Alumni Association, a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and a past president of the Ravenna Kiwanis Club. Myron was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with his family.
He is survived by his children: John (Cathy) Bruno of Mountainside, NJ, Rose (Tim) Bruno Beach of Pataskala, and Jack (fiancé Susan Gililland) Bruno of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren: Megan (Tim) Gerbracht, Evan Bruno, and Ian Bruno; great-granddaughter: Sophia Gerbracht, as well as many “favorite” nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Uncle Motty.”
He was preceded in death by his beloved wives Frances (Vaccaro) Bruno and Briget (Polichene) Bruno, and his brothers and sisters: Frances Maimone, Sam Bruno, Annie Larcus, Jennie (Ancona) Bica, Charles Bruno, and Lil Marchese.
Friends will be received Sunday, August 12, 2012, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend John Madden at 11:00 AM on Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow with military honors provided by the US Navy and VFW Post 1055 at St. Mary Cemetery.
