Nancy L. Montgomery

Nancy was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania on May 21, 1942. She resided in Grove City until her marriage to James R. Montgomery on November 17, 1962. They lived in California and Pennsylvania before moving to Ohio.

Nancy had a loving heart that would help anyone in need. One of her greatest joys was taking care of small children. She opened her home to many children from great-nephews and nieces to the neighborhood children. Nancy volunteered as a grandmother at Head Start in Ravenna for several years.

Nancy loved her family and enjoyed hosting holiday parties. She also enjoyed rose gardening, reading and listening to country music.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Gary Dean Montgomery, her parents Lloyd L. and Elizabeth R. Hoffman and her brothers: Ray and Paul Hoffman.

Nancy is survived by her husband James R. Montgomery, sons: James R. Jr., Doug, and daughter Lisa (Joe Davis) Holland. She also leaves her sister-in-law Beryle “Billie” Ivell, whom she loved dearly, her brother Jack Hoffman, her beloved dog Maddie and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held for the family and Nancy will be laid to rest at Eau Claire Cemetery in Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Head Start of Ravenna, Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities or Hattie Larlham.
