Naomi Louise Trader Daugherty

She was born November 18, 1935, in Philippi, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Andrew and Sarah (Noel) Trader.

Louise was a very kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many other people. She had many jobs throughout her life, but most of all, she was a homemaker. Louise enjoyed traveling and camping, cooking, sewing and crafting, but above all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She was a member of the Ravenna Church of Christ, where she enjoyed teaching the young kids of the congregation, which she did for 50 years. Louise was a person who could see no wrong in anyone, she would see no thorns in a rosebush.

Louise is survived by her husband of 59 years Don Daugherty, her sister Virginia Lee Heskett of San Diego, California, her children: Steve (Sherry) Daugherty of Philippi, West Virginia, Deb Ferrell of Ravenna, Diana (Mike) Fields of Ravenna, Shelia (Jamie) McCoy of West Virginia, and Jeff (Loretta) Daugherty of Ravenna, along with 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Sarah and Andrew Trader, brothers Meryl and Andrew “Bub” Trader, and her son-in-law Mike Ferrell.

Friends will be received Tuesday, April 28, 2015, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Minister Terry Smith on Wednesday at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
