

Olga Bosko-Salamon, age 90 of Ravenna, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was born on September 17, 1932, in Havana, Cuba, to her Eastern European parents, Stefan and Franziska (Jandrisevitz) Bosko. Olga lived in Cuba until she was 14, and then immigrated to the United States in 1948. She became a proud American citizen, and later married her husband, Joseph. They shared a wonderful life together where they enjoyed traveling and socializing with their many friends in Ravenna.
Olga attended the Akron Beauty School to become a self-employed beautician, and became widely popular in the community for her talent. She was a dedicated home-maker, family caregiver and a great cook. She was also a devoted mother and grandmother, who cherished spending time with her daughter and her grandson. Olga appreciated the simple things in life, and loved her flower garden, feeding the birds and the deer that often visited her yard. She was a woman of tremendous faith and strength to her family. She was also a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Salamon-Farhat, her grandson Steven-Joseph Farhat, her sister Elena Giorgio, her sister-in-laws Rose Bosko and Barbara and Bonnie Salamon. Olga also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Teresa Bosko, Mark (Tawnya) Bosko, Vanessa & Eric Decker, Brad (Debbie) Bender, Jeff (Denise) Bender, and Scott, Brent and Blake Salamon.
Olga was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph A. Salamon, her sister Lillian Siegfried, her brother Francisco Bosko, her brother-in-laws Guy Giorgio & James Salamon, and recently predeceased son-in-law Michael Farhat.
