Robert G Lower

He was born June 30, 1924, in Kent, Ohio, a son of the late Melville Jennings and Gracia (Cranz) Lower. Robert owned and operated the gas station at the intersection of Cuyahoga St. and North Mantua St. in Kent for many years. Mr. Lower served his country in the US Army and was a member of the First Christian Church of Kent. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Erna C. (Bormuth) Lower, his daughter Lynn (Bill) Holland-Haas, and his son Carl Lower all of Kent. Robert is also survived by his grandchildren: Dean Holland, Nicholas Lower, and Carl Lower Jr.; his sister Marian Hartstock of Laughlin, Nevada, and his brother Richard (Marilyn) Lower of Meadville, PA.

Graveside services will be officiated by Reverend Ralph S. Wearstler at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 1055.
