

Roberta was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on July 2, 1929 to parents Robert and Mildred Lloyd. She had been retired as the manager of Gougler Credit Union in Kent. Roberta was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna and also the Kent State University Alumni Association where she had earned her masters’ degree in education. Roberta also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #46 in Ravenna and volunteered at the Phyllis Zumkehr County Clothing Center. She loved gardening and enjoyed her involvement in the Ravenna Garden Club. Roberta liked to crochet and crocheted many hats for the children at Akron Childrens Hospital.
Roberta is survived by her children: Kathleen (Tom) DeCorsey of San Diego, Robert (Roberta) Simcox of Youngstown, Elaine Neverauskas of Chicago and David Hoult of Ravenna. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Robbie Simcox, Marta (Jay) Evans, Gregory (Mariaj) Simcox and Audrey & Ella Neverauskas. She also leaves four great-grandchildren: Jewels, Martin & Marilyn Evans and Porter Simcox.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Hoult, mother Mildred Varner, step-father Ross Varner, her sister Joanne Polacod and her granddaughter Tracey Simcox.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 263 S. Prospect St., Ravenna, on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 12:00pm with Rev. Tom Poremba and Rev. Stephen Sparling officiating. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
