Ronald Lee Lewis Sr.

He was born October 26, 1957, in Colver, Pennsylvania, to parents John “Jack” and Mary “Pete” (Frampton) Lewis. Ron graduated from Rootstown High School in 1976. He was the co-owner of Simcox Grinding & Steel along with his brothers.

On September 20, 1980, Ron married his beloved Diane (Boles) and together they raised their three sons: Ronald L. (Nicole) Lewis Jr., Craig (Cristin) Lewis, and Eric (Lauren) Lewis. PapPap’s memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Landin, Reagan, Conner, Audrey, Madilyn, Jaxon, and Evan. Ron is also survived by his parents Jack and Mary Lewis, his brothers: John Lewis and Chuck (Cyndy) Lewis, along with many loving nieces and nephews, as well as his: step-mother-in-law Edith Boles, brother-in-law Chris (Carla) Boles, and his sister-in-law Donna (Perry) Simon.

Ron was preceded in death by his brother William “Spank” Lewis and his mother and father-in-law Myrna and Donald Boles.

Ron was a 32nd degree Master Mason at Valley of Akron and a member Rockton Lodge #316 in Kent for over 40 years, as well a member of Ravenna Elks Lodge 1076. Ron enjoyed golfing and bowling, playing with his sons weekly. He also enjoyed hunting with his sons, father, and brothers. Ron was also the crew chief for his brother’s race car team and a Little League coach for over 25 years.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where Masonic Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Lee Kachner following. Interment will take place at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
