

He was born June 30, 1924, in Lovely, Pennsylvania, to parents John and Clella Taylor. Russell was a veteran of the US Army, faithfully serving his country in WWII. He later joined VFW Post 1055 in Ravenna.
Russell retired from Oak Rubber in 1989. He loved to keep himself busy. Whether it was riding his motorcycle, working in his garden, or tinkering in his barn, Russell always found something to do. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Russell is survived by his companion and wife: Shirley Taylor, his children: Naomi Athorn, Melvin Taylor, David Taylor, Jay Taylor, Charlotte Shafer, Rose Burgess, Pat Ervin, John Taylor, and Kimberly Harrison, his brother: Arthur Taylor, as well as his step-daughters: Becky Davis, Cindy Harper, and Debbie Breeder, his step-son: Earl Davis, along with all of his loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Alfred Taylor, his daughters Vioma Taylor and Diana Wall, his sister Wilma Davis, and his brothers Harold and Donald Taylor.
Cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery in Lovely, Pennsylvania, on a later date with military honors. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
