Samantha was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 24, 1983 to parents Mark and Therese (Fedorovich) Kippes. Samantha was a graduate of Field High School and was retired from the United States Marine Corps where she had served tours in Kuwait and also in Iraq during the Iraqi Freedom conflict.
She was the beloved daughter to her parents, devoted mother to her son Bryce, and the perfect wife to her husband Graham. She is also survived by her brothers Josh Chaney, Mark Kippes Jr., Bryan (Christine Cosma) Kippes, her sister Therese Jo Kippes, as well as her nieces and nephews: Alyssa Kippes, Emma Jackson, Marybeth Jackson, Matthew Jackson, and William Jackson, along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Samantha was a proud U.S. Marine who was head strong and loved life. She enjoyed playing and visiting new places with her son and loved going on surprise trips. Samantha loved relaxing, reading a book or listening to music. She was especially interested in spooky history. Most of all she was the glue that held the family together and will be deeply and forever missed.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 2:00PM until the 3:00PM memorial service officiated by Rev. James Lang. Full military honors will also take place.
