Shirley J. Strader

Shirley was born January 22, 1933 in Casper, Wyoming to the late Clifford R. and Molly (Rutz) Maddy. She was a 1950 graduate of Fort Collins High School in Colorado and in 1952 graduated from Barnes Business School in Denver, Colorado.

Shirley retired from Monitor Mold and Machine Company in Akron where she was the office manager.

Besides her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Maddy, and her sister-in-law Agnes Maddy.

She was of the Baptist faith. Shirley had a lifetime love of horses. She sang in the church choir and taught piano. She was also an Honorary Chapter Farmer for the Waterloo FFA many years ago.

Shirley is survived by her husband James Strader, her sons Donald (Kathy Jo) Strader, David Strader, and Scott Strader, a daughter, her brother Clifford Maddy, seven beloved grandchildren, and ten wonderful great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 2-6PM Friday and 10-11AM Saturday at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. in Ravenna. Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
