Norma Jean Schneider

Norma was born in 1935 to Floyd and Coletta Chirnside and passed away peacefully on April 20, 2016 in Florence, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Schneider, her sister Joann Chirnside, her brother Bob Chirnside, and her daughter Cheri Holtz. She is survived by her sister Mariann Sweeney, her step-daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Denny Engle and Kristy and Doug Birdsall, her son-in-law Jim Holtz, her granddaughter and grandson-in-law Melissa and Ben Talbert, and her four great grandchildren, Jacob, Libby, Eli, and Oliver. Norma lived in either Colorado or California for many years. Her daughter Cheri was born in 1958. Norma married her husband Bob in 1979 and gained two dearly loved step-daughters. Bob and Norma moved to Nevada and their granddaughter Melissa was born the following year. Norma lost both her husband Bob and her daughter Cheri in 2003, two weeks apart. In 2011, she moved to Kentucky to be near her granddaughter and four great grandchildren. Norma's greatest joy was her family. Although she worked at various jobs through the years, the place where she shone was wherever her loved ones were. Norma enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble, and caring for her home. She was loved so very much and she will be missed.
