

Alice H. "Granny" (Moore) Borelli, 95, of Sinking Spring, passed away in the Reading Hospital on Thursday, February 5, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late Armond E. Borelli, whom passed away in 1984. Born in Reading on October 24, 1919, Alice was a daughter of the late Edgar and Reba (Weinmiller) Moore.
She was a faithful member of Bausman United Church of Christ in Wyomissing. Alice was employed with Luden's as a candy packer. Prior to that, she was employed as a cook with Phil's Café and Sons of Italy. She enjoyed hiking to the Pagoda, making berry pies, Bingo, Word Search and Solitaire. She traveled on an airplane for the first time when she was 75 to attend a wedding in Las Vegas. She became known as a daredevil. Alice was selfless and never complained. She loved caring for people and people loved being around her.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen M. Fisher and her husband, Kenneth of Sinking Spring and Lois A. Talarigo and her husband, Thomas of Sinking Spring; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Armond, Alice is predeceased by a son, Carl F. Borelli; a grandson, Kenneth T. Fisher; two sisters, Mae Morville and infant,, Reba Moore; and two brothers, Edgar Moore and infant, Russell Moore.
A funeral service for Alice will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Alice will be laid to rest next to Armond in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
