Anne, I will miss immensely  You were a constant throughout so many years of my life. You always made me feel like I was a part of the family and I will never forget that.  I remember sitting in your kitchen, when I was very young, while you were baking Christmas cookies and eating the warm sand tarts and chocolate chip cookies as they came out of the oven.  I will always think of you whenever the word "casinos" comes up.  You loved your casinos...you couldn't be pried away from the machines.  I will always picture your precious image sitting there playing the slot machines.  Thank you for all the years of friendship and love.  You were a loyal and precious friend, a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and I will remember you always.  Though my heart swells with sadness when I reflect on the years I was privileged to have had you in my life, I am comforted in knowing that you are no longer in pain and that, maybe, you are up there playing the slot machines with no one to tell you it's time to go home because you are now finally Home. Nanny, Words cannot describe how much I miss you. I feel like just yesterday you and I were sitting in my living room playing videos and you were yelling at me for pressing all of the buttons at once just so I could beat you. I remember when you used to babysit me and make me help you take out your dozens of bobby-pins that you would use to pin your hair up. 

You were truly a gem and one of the most amazing and funny people that I have ever known. You will forever hold a special place in my heart. I wish you were still here to share in the special laughs and jokes that we had. I am going to miss you telling me about how all you wanted to do was go to the casino and play the slot machines. I am going to miss all of the scratch-off tickets that you would get me for my birthday and Christmas. 

Just being in your presence made me so happy both inside and out and that is something that I am going to remember for the rest of my life.

One of the last things you shared with me that I will never forget is when you told me "It is a great life just until you get weak" you were the furthest thing from weak. You were so strong and fought until the end to remain here on this earth. I wish I got the chance to say goodbye to you but I know you are looking down on me and will always be with me wherever I go. 

I love you so much Nanny. You made such a positive impact on my life and I am going to continue to grow as a man and make you proud.

Nanny,  Thinking back to when I was a kid and had to have the latest and greatest new toy or a pair of those expensive basketball sneakers... It was you that taught me to save a little here and there. 
When I got about half the cash for whatever it was. You and mom would pitch in and come up with the rest.  lol  
I loved to bake those Toll House Cookies with you and eat the raw batter when you weren't looking. Then you'd catch me and playfully scold me.
I remember when my homework involved a drawing of some sort and you would show me how to sketch what my eyes see... I got my artistic side from you.
We didn't have a lot, but we made the best of it by enjoying what we did have.
You have taught me many life lessons... Loved me unconditionally... And for that I'm most thankful.     I Love You Always Nanny!!!

Mom,
I miss you so much already.  You will always remain part of my heart.  I have a little chuckle when I think of how much you loved the casino's and how you were always bugging me to take you.
I love you so much and will one day see you again.
