Barton Paul Glass

Barton P. Glass, 89, passed away Monday April 10, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley A. Glass on June 18, 2005. Barton was born in Reading on September 30, 1933, a son of the late Heber and Loretta (Hopp) Glass.

Barton served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was employed by Reading Hospital as a clerk for 18 years retiring in 1995. Barton was also a school bus driver for Muhlenberg School District for 15 years and was a volunteer for Muhlenberg Ambulance Assoc. for 25 years. He was an avid Steeler's fan and loved airplanes, classical music and his dog.

Surviving are his 3 daughters; Yvonne Glass, Robin and her husband Francis Cattani, Deanna Glass-Macenka and her husband Marc Macenka, 4 grandchildren; Amelia Glass, Gabriella Cattani, Sasha and Reagan Macenka.

He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Eglee.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday April 18, 2023 at 11:30am in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Tuesday 10:30-11:30am in the funeral home.
