Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Luppold) Sekulski.
Bonnie was a 1969 graduate of Reading High School and later graduated from Bryland Beauty School. Throughout her life, she worked at Boscov’s, S&H Green Stamps, and Maple Grove Raceway, where she also earned the title of the first Miss Maple Grove.
A talented hairdresser, Bonnie opened her first salon, The Hair Works Inc., at The Toll House Shoppes in Sinking Spring before later relocating the business to Shillington. She also obtained her real estate and securities licenses and proudly served on the board of DMS Funds, which opened on NASDAQ on July 23, 2013.
Bonnie loved spending time at her salon, traveling, and going on cruises. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and by the many lives she touched throughout the years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John R. Romanies.
In accordance with her wishes, Bonnie donated her body to Humanity Gifts (Drexel) for medical study. Following cremation, her ashes will be spread in the ocean so that, as she wished, she could continue traveling forever.
