Frances M. Thomas

Frances M. Thomas,100, of Reading, Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 12, 2022 with her daughter Anita E. Perkins by her side. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Charles Thomas. She was born in Reading, Pa. November 22, 1921 a daughter of the late Everett and Blanche (Green) Brinkley.

She was a Reading High School graduate and participated in track & field, volleyball and basketball. She was employed by the Reading Hospital in the dietary department retiring there. Frances was a devout and faithful member of Zion Baptist Church where she was an organist for over 65 years and a choir director for the church choir. She also taught piano for a short period of time.

Frances is survived by a niece, Patricia Lowman of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. And a host of great nieces, nephews and close family friends.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Richard Brinkley and Walter Brinkley and 3 sisters, Anita Jackson, Dorothy Greer and Elizabeth Brinkley. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park as per Frances's wishes.

Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
