Harold Paul Boone

Harold Paul Boone, 68, of Reading, passed away February 14, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine M. (Beck) Boone. He was born in West Reading on April 16, 1946, a son of the late Robert and Clara (Lyon) Boone.

Harold was a Navy veteran and was employed by Dana Parish Corporation as an overhead crane operator for 31 1/2 years, retiring in 1999. He loved to play baseball, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, old cars, especially a '53 Chevy flame thrower, and loved his dog, Taz.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Lisa A. Boone and his son, Richard P. Boone, both of Reading; stepdaughter, Lori Lehman of Denver; and stepson, Bruce Schmeck of Adamstown. Harold has 2 brothers, Robert Boone and Walter Boone; 2 sisters, Nancy Boone and Barbara Hulshizer. There are 2 grandchildren and 3 stepgrandchildren. Harold was predeceased by his sister, Mary Boone.

Services will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial is private. A viewing will be Wednesday, 10-11 a.m., in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society , 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605, in his memory.
